So what’s a cat cafe / cat lounge?

  • It’s an enriched environment where adoptable rescue cats live and roam freely and you can visit and sip on a beverage while enjoying their company. You are helping socialize these cats at the same time. >^. .^<

Does it cost money to visit the cats?

  • Paid admission is required to enter the cat lounge. The entry fees and your contributions to merchandise is what keeps us open. What you’re doing is supporting our cause and it goes back to keeping our cats happy and healthy until they get adopted. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, as cat cafes should be!

Is there an age restriction for the cat lounge?

  • Only visitors 7+ will be admitted into the Cat Lounge. Children aged 7-12 must have one (1) Parent or Guardian for every three (3) children present (paid admission required for all visitors)
Keep in mind, we are creating a relaxed environment for our cats and human visitors - if there happens to be continued disruption from someone in the lounge, we may ask them to leave without a refund. ;(

Do I need to book a visit to the cat lounge ahead of time?

  • Securing a spot in advance is not required, but recommended to secure space in the cat lounge and to let us know you’re coming! Walk-ins are welcome, just subject to availability. We limit our lounge to 10 people per session for the perfect cat-to-person ratio. We have a large space, but we would hate to turn you away! It stinks!

Can I bring my cat?

  • No, we do not allow outside animals. It would be stressful for your cat and for ours, trust us on this one. We’ve got you covered on the cats!

Are the cats adoptable?

  • Yes! Most of our cats are ready to go home with their forever people. Check the cat bios at the lounge to see who is available! We do have select permanent resident cats at our lounge that have proved to thrive in this environment, but are special cases.

Where do you get your cats?

  • We are partnered with OC Small Paws, an Orange County cat and kitten rescue.

Can I still come in if I’m not looking to adopt/can’t adopt a cat?

  • Yes, absolutely! It’s meant to be therapeutic and fun for our human friends and you’re helping socialize cats and support the cause to getting them adopted at the same time… lots of our visitors cannot have cats so this is where they come to get their kitty fix!

You’re a non-profit? How do you make money?

  • Caturday Lounge is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization, ID #83-1223241. Your entry fee to hang out and socialize our cats goes to keeping our lights on and keeping us open. When cats are adopted, the adoption fee goes back to our partner rescue!

Why are the cats sleeping during my visit?

  • Cats are creatures that require a lot of sleep, and they can sleep anywhere from 14 to 18 hours a day and are crepuscular! They are most active in the mornings and evenings but can be awake throughout the day. Please be mindful of what times you are deciding to visit the lounge, the best times are for a few hours upon opening, and a couple hours before we close.

What if I am running late?

  • 10 minutes past the booking hour, only if your session is full, we will open your reserved spot(s) for walk-in(s). Otherwise, we will likely be able to accommodate.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

  • There are instructions to cancel or reschedule in your "Booking Confirmation" email.
Please only book for spots you intend to fill!

Is it possible to book the cat lounge for a special event, like a birthday or bachelorette party?

Can my child under 7 years old enter the cat lounge? What if my child has seen all of the episodes of My Cat From Hell?

  • While impressive, Caturday does not make exceptions to our age policy at this time.
